My clients wanted to move their kitchen out from a dark side room out into an open plan kitchen/living/dining space and wanted to improve the light in that space. They also wanted to try a make a better connection with the lower level garden and extend an under-utilised service space in the basement, improving the connection between the floors. Every aspect of this design was developed closely with my client where we had to maintain existing and create new sunny spots to enjoy at different times of day/season and which should all interconnect smoothly with minimal visual barriers. The new basement space should be a calm multi-functional area that connected easily with the upstairs and also connected to the garden. Better photos, including the interior coming soon!
